St. Thomas the Apostle
Feast Day: July 3
Patron of: Architects and India
St. Thomas is the apostle who initially didn’t believe Christ had risen from the dead. When St. Thomas saw Jesus in his glorified body, he immediately recognized him as God. The saint went on to lead a vigorous missionary life, bringing the good news of Christ’s resurrection to Syria and India before being martyred.
St. Thomas is often called “doubting Thomas”, since he did not believe that Christ had risen at first. But he’s also a strong symbol of the drive and courage that faith, even gradual faith, can bring to one’s life.
