Paul is a young Jewish firebrand who kills or captures anyone who follows the new sect of Christianity. His closest friend, Septus, is a renegade Roman officer who helps Paul dominate the countryside. Paul gains a mentor, but loses his friends when he finally embraces truth. He faces death at the hands of his closest companion, betrayal, and constant danger. Then, after spending years in solitude in the desert, he is finally ready to begin his epic mission to Rome. The missionary finds new allies in Stephanus, a zealous young Christian, and Phoebe, a spunky, street-smart firebrand. Paul scratches out a foundation for the underground community of believers. Along the way, he fights to protect his young followers and his Church from constant danger at the hands of thieving merchants and murderous mobs. When on his way to his trial in Rome, Paul's prison ship gets lost in a storm at sea and the whole crew, including the disbelieving centurion, Julius, is shipwrecked on the island of Malta. Meanwhile, Stephanus and Phoebe follow after Paul, hoping to free him before the new Caesar, Nero, launches his persecution against all Christians. Little do they know, it might be already too late. Testifying his faith at his trial might be Paul's last and final Act as an Apostle of God. Lose yourself in this epic re-imagining of first-century Palestine.
Paul: Tarsus to Redemption is the second edition of the original manga series written by Matthew Salisbury and Gabrielle Gniewek, and illustrated by Sean Lam. This book retells the life of Paul, perhaps one of the most influential early Christian missionary. The story begins with his days as a persecutor of early Christians, his conversion on the road to Damascus, his adventures as a missionary of the early church, and ending with his eventual imprisonment and execution in Rome. This graphic novel also includes a map that traces his journeys, as well as factual insights about the real Paul who lived during height of the Roman Empire.

Paul's a fiery, devout Jew whose passion spurs him to action. Like many Jews of the time, he believes that heresy and offenses to God go far beyond the individual, endangering the survival of his nation. Paul sees the Christians as doing just that, which motivates his intense drive to stamp them out.
Alisha is one of many new Christians who wholeheartedly embrace “The Way.” Until our story her life has been tremendously happy and fulfilled, with light dancing in her pure, almond-shaped eyes. She and Paul develop a friendship that eventually ends in sadness when the past catches up with them.
Ananias is past middle age but hardly an old man. He's a young father figure, hugely respected by the Christian community in Damascus. Ananias is a man of his people and spurns any attempt by others to make him more than a quiet servant to all.
Barnus is a new follower of Christ who disdains Paul when he first meets him. However, Barnus will become an important ally for Paul, who will need Barnus’ brute strength and friendship.
Septus is a rising star in the Roman army, who forms an unlikely friendship with Paul who helps him convert to Judaism. Just as his conversion becomes complete, however, his best friend and guide has his own change of heart leaving Septus hurt and betrayed by Paul’s abandonment of their shared faith.
Gamaliel's an old Jewish master, a moderate revered across all religious and political spectrums. That Paul is his student speaks volumes about Paul’s abilities and promise. Gamaliel’s much more moderate than his fiery young pupil, seeing the world in shades of gray though he builds his life on rock-solid truth
Aaron is one of the high priests who views Paul’s change of heart as a serious threat to his nation. He likes to appear magnanimous but is always angling things towards personal benefit.
